VBS Day 5: LIVE LIKE YOU ARE PART OF A BIGGER STORY

The fifth day of VBS arrived. We are so AMPED. We have had so much fun and we learned a lot!!
The Apostle Paul brought the Bible Story today. His first reference in the Bible was as a persecutor of Christians, after a meeting with Jesus, He became a follower of Christ and an exponent for the Christian faith writing some books of the new testament.
Paul found himself being part of a bigger story! That story is the same story God continues to tell today!
And Do you know who else is part of that story? That’s right . . . YOU! Me! All of us can play a part in God’s BIGGER Story! And when you live like you are part of that story, people cannot help but see Jesus in you.
This wonderful week ended with a “water party” kids running and laughing, our volunteers and parents helping each other making sure everybody was having a good time, pizza, popcorn, more laughs and a truly family environment, Such an AMPED Blessing!
Please keep praying for our Caprikidz, parents and volunteers. We want to see each of them living according to God’s plan…..Fully Alive!!
We are gratefully for every kid attending, thank you parents for trust us.
As our Youth and Children Pastor, Tim Gardiner said: “This AMPED Week, has been our BEST VBS…Yet!!”  Well done VBS 2018 team!

VBS DAY 4: LIVE LIKE PEOPLE MATTER

– Mommy, please hurry! I don’t want to miss anything of today’s fun, My favorite part, the music is about to start!
We caught this conversation in the parking lot on our fourth day of VBS.
This group of amazing and all AMPED kids learned about The Early Church (John 13:34-35; Acts 2:42-47, 3:32-37).  We remembered the great command of Jesus: to love one another as He loved us; in this way we will show that we are his disciples. The Early Church lived like people mattered and invested in each other while carrying on the command of Jesus.
But, How to live like people matter?  Show them respect and treat them the way we want to be treated. We help them when they need it. We encourage or lift them up when they are hurting or going through a tough time. Showing someone that they matter can be as simple as smiling and asking them how things are going.
This AMPED day ended with more praise to The Lord time and we saw the protagonist of the parking lot conversation clapping and jumping with each song.

“I have come so they may have life. I want them to have it in the fullest possible way.”

John 10:10b, NIRV

VBS DAY 3: LIVE LIKE JESUS IS ALIVE

With a group of 79 kids, parents and volunteers our third day of VBS had “The Road of Emmaus” as our Bible Story.
We heard about two friends who were on a journey and met a stranger along the way. The stranger turned out to be none other than Jesus. They thought he was dead, but he was ALIVE!
Knowing that Jesus is alive changes everything! It means that everything God ever said and everything Jesus ever did is TRUE.  And when we believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection has the power to save us, we can be fully alive with God forever!
We have been very blessed with an awesome team of volunteers in this 2018 VBS, all of them always willing to give the extra mile with the best attitude and a warm smile. A very special THANK YOU to our AMPED DREAM TEAM.

“I have come so they may have life. I want them to have it in the fullest possible way.”

John 10:10b, NIRV

VBS Day 2: Live Like God Has a Plan for You

Our Second VBS Day, brought us one of my favorites Bible Stories: The Queen Esther.
Esther an orphan child but with an amazing life plan designed by The Lord: She became the queen of the most powerful nation of those times, Persia. She was also the instrument that God used to save the Jews nation from complete extermination.
Our Caprikidz learned that they are part of a perfect plan designed by God and they have a purpose.
We love to see their happy faces during the worship time and the way they are making new friends and learning in the small groups.
We still have three more days of VBS, our team has prepared several surprises, so please, don’t miss the opportunity to invite every kid that you know!

“I have come so they may have life. I want to have it in the fullest possible way”

John 10:10 NIRV.

VBS Day 1: Live Like You Know God Is With You

VBS is here! In our first day we had a group of approximately 70 kids, parents and volunteers all AMPED and willing to learn about How God is always with you!
The night started with an energetic moment of songs and worship to the Lord, every song rhythm was very contagious and with a clear message: No matter what…. God is always with you!
We watched a video about Joseph; It was refreshing for our kids to see How God was always there for Joseph in his good times but even more in his bad times.
The small group time started with some snacks and games oriented to reinforce the mean message of today’s lesson. It was a great time to make friends and to know your teacher for a week that in some cases as our Pre-K teacher, she would like to be called Grandma 😊
The night ended with more worship time and a group of kids smiling, keeping in their hearts the wonderful fact that God is always with you!

“I have come so they may have life. I want to have it in the fullest possible way”

John 10:10 NIRV.

A Night With Gnomes

Awesome job by our Evangelism Ministry Team & Children’s Ministry.
What a great night to kickoff VBS. We had around 45 kids and adults come out for a Family Movie Night. Popcorn and Caprisun along with some Rice Krispie treats kept us going to enjoy watching Sherlock Gnomes.
Don’t forget to be praying everyday this week for kids and their learning how to live for Christ. Again we hope you are taking part in spreading the word and even bring someone to VBS. This is a church wide event that needs your participation.

Let’s all do our part this week!!!

BigStuf 2018: ORIGINALS

Our Capristudents attended BigStuf 2018, Summer Camp.
Everything starts somewhere. The greatest movements and the biggest heroes all had a beginning. Before the success, before the fame, before the impact, there was a time when someone dared to be an original. They dared to do something that had never been done, make something that had never been made, go somewhere that no one had gone before.
Those stories are what BigStuf 2018 is about. Because whether we realize it or not, we are originals. And we have a story. And our story not only tells us who we are, but clues us into where we’re headed: Originals change the world.
Jun 3rd – Jun 8th  2018. Panama City – Florida.

Capri Father's Day Celebration

This past Sunday we really enjoyed our “Father’s Day Classic” here at Capri.  Hopefully you got to enjoy seeing the classic cars & sports cars in our parking lot as you entered the building.  Those cars were so sharp looking and really neat for all to see.  We were allowed to get really close to the cars taking pictures and inspecting how clean & polished they were.  The amount of meticulous work that has gone into these cars to either restore them or maintain the original was quite impressive.  A big thanks to our own Mike Cox for organizing the event…we look forward to maybe getting to do that again next Father’s Day.
Pastor Curt preached an excellent message for dads to be set the example in speech, conduct, love, faith, & purity.  His message reminded us that we all, not just dads, have that responsibility to set those examples because the world needs that example of how a Christ-follower lives and they are always watching.  People may doubt what you say but they will always believe what you do.
As Christians, we need to put the work into being very meticulous about character.  The world is watching Christians very closely and even taking pictures and inspecting our lives for the example we set.  What kind of impression are you making?
