Food For Thought
Wes Hasekamp, Outreach Pastor
Easter is over and what do we do now? The Disciples waited for Jesus to come back but was that their calling? After Jesus spent 40 days with them and rose back to heaven he left them with a note, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
We know that Jesus is with us through the Holy Spirit and will walk with us for all of our days until we come face to face with our Lord when he calls, but do we sit and wait for him to call? Read Luke 19 “The Parable of the Talents”, Matthew 25 “The Parable of the ten Virgins” as well as the Parable of the Talents, read 1 Corinthians 9:22-23, or read 1st Peter 3 and ask yourself, should I watch for Jesus’ coming? Or is there work to be done?

MEN’S BIBLE FELLOWSHIP
Steven Dawes, Associate & Music Pastor
We cannot express our gratitude enough to Capri’s Celebration Singers for their moving performance of “Still the King” at our Maundy Thursday and Easter weekend services. Their dedication and tireless efforts were evident in every note, filling our auditorium with pure joy, tears, and praise. The dedication, passion, and talent of each member of the group never ceases to amaze us, and we are truly blessed to have them share the message of hope and faith through their music.
Thank you for making our Easter Cantata a night to remember, and for giving us all something to sing about! And a special shoutout to Pastor Curt, who graciously offered to add some tambourine flair to the performance. Despite missing every rehearsal and forgetting his tambourine on the big night, his enthusiasm and encouragement were truly unmatched. God must have a sense of humor to bless us with such a tambourine-loving pastor! Thank you.
