Children’s Ministry Coordinator

• Recruit, train, and support volunteers for teaching, storytelling, Sunday School, and events
• Develop and maintain a planning team to help shape the ministry vision
• Provide ongoing encouragement, clear communication, and regular team check-ins
• Host quarterly training or appreciation events for volunteers

• Ensure all teachers are equipped with age-appropriate, Gospel-centered materials
• Promote Sunday School as a vital part of family discipleship
• Support teachers with training, curriculum walkthroughs, and classroom prep
• Maintain an inventory of classroom supplies and curriculum resources

• Coordinate and schedule 20–25 minute Bible story sessions during three weekend services
• Provide training and support for volunteer storytellers or lead sessions as needed
• Select Gospel-centered, interactive stories that connect with the Sunday message

.

• Create opportunities for fun, faith, and fellowship for families
• Design events that encourage parental involvement and spiritual formation
• Promote a welcoming environment where new families feel connected

.

• Serve as a welcoming presence for new families
• Communicate regularly to share ministry updates, parenting resources, and discipleship tips
• Follow up with families who have been absent or are in need of care

.

• Keep up-to-date records of children and families
• Track attendance and reach out when families are absent
• Use digital platforms (email, text, social media) to keep families informed and engaged

.

• Encourage family participation in 1st or last service (Family Worship Sundays)
• Develop tools or guides to help children engage in the full worship experience
• Coordinate special Sundays that highlight family participation

• Coordinate Christmas programs, Easter events, and/or children’s musicals
• Recruit teams for planning, setup, and performance support
• Use creative elements like drama, music, and art to enrich these events

.

• Choose annual VBS dates in coordination with other ministry areas
• Partner with the Christian Education, Creative Arts, Outreach, and Kitchen teams
• Lead efforts to recruit volunteers and prepare materials for an engaging experience

.

• Work under the leadership of the Senior Pastor and align with the mission of Capri Christian Church
• Collaborate with other ministries for shared events and outreach
• Attend staff meetings or leadership gatherings as requested

.

• Manage the children’s ministry budget with stewardship and transparency
• Ensure safe, secure, and welcoming environments in every classroom
• Utilize digital tools to enhance learning, scheduling, and communication
• Stay informed about best practices in children’s discipleship and ministry safety
• Celebrate and pray regularly with volunteers, children, and families
