Next Steps

What Should I Do Next?

Step 1: Start with God

Study

Get connected in one of our Bible studies or Sunday School classes to help you read, understand, and apply God’s Word. You grow when you open the Bible and let God speak into your life.

Pray

Ask God to begin working in your life in a fresh way. Prayer is simply talking with God—honestly, consistently, and with an open heart.

Step 2: Obey the Gospel

The Bible calls us not just to hear the good news, but to respond to it. Obeying the gospel means:

  • Put your trust in God.
  • Confess that Jesus is Lord.
  • Repent of your sins and turn toward Him.
  • Be baptized.

Scripture reminds us that there are eternal consequences for those who do not obey the gospel, and eternal hope for those who do.

Baptism

In the New Testament, whenever a person came to faith in Jesus, they were immediately instructed to be baptized for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the indwelling Holy Spirit. Baptism is a beautiful, obedient step of faith and a public declaration that you belong to Christ.

Step 3: Live It Out

Give

Give of your time to serve the church and the community. The Bible instructs us to be cheerful givers of our finances to help spread the message of the gospel. What you give is ultimately a matter between you and God, but generosity is a natural response to His grace.

Go Make Disciples

Jesus has instructed us to go and share the good news of salvation with everyone. Following Him means helping others follow Him too—right where you live, work, and spend your time.

Next Steps: Faithful Attendance & Teams

Sunday Worship & Sunday School

  • Sunday at 9:00 AM – Contemporary Music
  • Sunday School at 10:00 AM – for all ages
  • Sunday at 11:15 AM – Southern Gospel Hymns

Families with children’s ministry–age kids are encouraged to take advantage of our designated Family Worship hours on Sundays at 9:00 or 11:15 AM. These services offer the opportunity to sit together as a family for the song service and to participate in Bible Story Time during the sermon in the Fellowship Hall. And don’t forget to get those kids into Sunday School during the 10:00 AM hour for a fun way to learn important Bible skills.

Ministry Teams

Why Join a Ministry Team?

Real fulfillment comes from serving others selflessly, just as Jesus did (Mark 9:35). Ministry teams give you the chance to use your gifts, meet new people, and make a real difference in the lives of others.

Who Can Join a Team?

Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re new to Capri or have been here for years, there is a place for you to serve. God uses all kinds of people, with all kinds of skills and backgrounds.

How Do I Connect With a Team?

Each ministry is led by a team leader or board member. Let them know you would like to join their team for a specific event or to serve whenever needed. We’ll help you find a spot that matches your gifts and your passion.

All are welcome to join us in spreading love and compassion to those in need.

Our Vision at Capri

Rooted in Paul’s teaching in the book of Ephesians, our vision is to lead people from being far from God to fully engaged followers of Jesus — step by step, with a clear and biblical process.

A Simple, Biblical Process

Four clear movements that shape everything we do as a church.

Step 1
Evangelism
We want
the lost saved.
Step 2
Discipleship
We want to pastor
the saved.
Step 3
Equipping
We want to train
the pastored.
Step 4
Empowering
We want to mobilize
the trained.

The Heart Behind Each Step

This isn’t just a slogan — it’s the way we believe Jesus grows His church. From Ephesians, we see leaders equipping the church, and the church living out the mission of God together.

Step 1: Evangelism

We want the lost saved.

Everything begins with helping people discover Jesus, the One who rescues, restores, and brings new life. Our desire is to clearly share the gospel in our services, ministries, and everyday relationships.

Step 2: Discipleship

We want to pastor the saved.

Once someone comes to faith, we walk with them. Through teaching, community, encouragement, and care, we help believers grow in their faith and learn what it means to follow Jesus in real life.

Step 3: Equipping

We want to train the pastored.

As Paul teaches in Ephesians, leaders equip God’s people for works of ministry. Every believer has gifts to develop and use. We want to help people discover those gifts and become confident in serving.

Step 4: Empowering

We want to mobilize the trained.

The goal is not just to learn, but to live it out. We send out equipped believers to serve, lead, and impact others — both inside the church and in the community, for the glory of God.
